The 'Boss Princess' of Counterterrorism: How Julia Varvaro's Sugar Daddy Scandal Rocks the Trump Administration

A 29-year-old deputy assistant secretary for counterterrorism is on administrative leave. A 57-year-old government contractor says he spent $40,000 on her in three months. The DHS Inspector General is investigating. And the White House is staying silent.

This is not a script for a political thriller. This is the Trump administration in April 2026.

📌 The 'Boss Princess' Allegations

Julia Varvaro, who earned her PhD in Homeland Security from St. John’s University in 2024 and was appointed deputy assistant secretary for counterterrorism in May 2025, has been placed on administrative leave after an ex-boyfriend filed a complaint with the DHS Office of the Inspector General. The allegations read like a page from a scandal novel.

🤝 The Relationship at the Center of the Storm

The complainant, Robert Bianchi, a 57-year-old divorced father and CEO of the government IT contractor SVDO Solutions, said he met Varvaro on the dating app Hinge in December 2025 . Their first date was at Minetta Tavern in Washington, D.C., which came with a bill of $1,400.

Over the next three months, Bianchi says he spent between $30,000 and $40,000 on Varvaro, covering first-class trips to Aruba, Italy, San Diego, and South Carolina, luxury shopping sprees, and expensive jewelry from Cartier. He also claims Varvaro asked him to pay half her rent during a DHS shutdown furlough period. But the spending is only part of the story. According to Bianchi’s complaint, Varvaro told him that she had no college debt because sugar daddies paid for her education and that the $40,000 worth of jewelry on “her wrists and ears are all trophies from her sugar daddies”.

The Seeking.com Profile Under 'Alessia'

Bianchi also discovered that Varvaro allegedly maintained a profile on Seeking.com, a website marketed toward “sugar dating” where younger singles seek older, wealthier partners. The profile, under the name “Alessia,” described its owner as a government employee offering “seductive sophistication” and seeking “mutually beneficial experiences” with “masculine men”. When confronted by the Daily Mail, Varvaro denied having a profile on Seeking. However, the profile was removed shortly after the publication reached out. The description had stated that “Alessia” was “flirty, fun, and fond of sultry spaces — mysterious lounges, velvet shadows, wine in hand”.

A Matter of National Security?

Perhaps the most disturbing part of the complaint is Bianchi’s belief that Varvaro’s actions represent a national security risk. He wrote: “I believe that she’s under financial stress and that her actions pose a security risk”.

A former CIA officer interviewed by the Daily Mail confirmed that sugar daddy relationships and unreported income are “serious issues for DHS security personnel”, warning that such behaviors open individuals to potential blackmail and compromised judgment.

Security sources have compared the situation to that of former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s cross-dressing husband, suggesting that both cases involve potential security vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hostile actors.

Bianchi also accused Varvaro of using marijuana on nearly a dozen occasions during their relationship and using recreational Xanax, allegations she firmly denies

Robert Bianchi: The $67 Million Government Contractor

he spotlight has now shifted to Bianchi himself. After Varvaro’s administrative leave was announced, Bianchi was identified as a business executive whose company won $67 million in US government contracts, a third of which came in the last two years.

This raises a critical question: was Varvaro using Bianchi as a sugar daddy, or was Bianchi using Varvaro’s DHS position to gain influence for his company? The complaint, however, was filed by Bianchi against Varvaro, not the other way around. The DHS OIG has declined to comment, following its longstanding policy of neither confirming nor denying any specific investigation.

A DHS official confirmed that Varvaro is on administrative leave and is no longer serving in her capacity as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Counterterrorism.

Final Thoughts:

The Varvaro case, combined with the Noem scandal, the Chavez‑DeRemer investigation, the missing scientists, and the jailing of a student for a joke, points to a deeper rot in the system. It raises uncomfortable questions about security clearance integrity, the double standards of justice, and the reality of the “land of the free.” Whether Varvaro is ultimately cleared or charged, the damage is already done.

Another Trump administration official has been exposed, the question of national security has been compromised, and trust in the system has eroded further.

The world is watching. The silence is not an option.
